Dietary advice and management of patients with diarrhea

Initial discussion: A small child was brought to me this morning for treatment of diarrhea. The baby is only 10 months old. The child has been having continuous diarrhea since yesterday. I have undergone other treatments before this. But today they came to me for homeopathy treatment. I treated the patient by selecting the medicine considering the similarity of the patient's symptoms. Along with this, I am presenting here the advice I gave to the patient regarding food.

Post Table of Contents:Child or Adult 1 If anyone has frequent loose stools, there is a large amount of water and salt deficiency from the body. Also during this time, the digestive system becomes very weak. So I am talking about some foods especially useful for the patient in this situation.

Diarrhea patients should eat all the foods:

Liquid Drinks: Drink plenty of pure liquid drinks at this time. Bottled water is rich in electrolytes so drinking bottled water should be done if possible. Various fruit juices like orange, apple, grape juice, etc. can be consumed. A variety of nutritious vegetable soups can be consumed. Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) are available in the market and should be taken frequently by the patient. Yogurt can be fed in small amounts.

Soft food: All the soft food we eat should be eaten in tolerable amounts. That is, during this time the digestive power is very weak. Therefore, it is necessary to eat in moderation at this time. Rice, bread, curries, fruits, and vegetables should be given to the patient in moderation.

Protein food: In moderation, the patient should go for the first protein food. Proton foods include fish, eggs, milk, cheese, chickpeas, pulses, nuts, seeds, etc. (However, if a person tends to have flatulence in any of these foods, then those foods should be avoided by the patient)

Egg whites contain high levels of protein. Although protein foods play an important role in our body's growth, structure, and energy storage, food must be consumed in moderation in this particular situation. As a result of overeating, digestion cannot be performed properly at this time, thereby prolonging the duration of the disease.

Diarrhea patients should not eat:

Foods that the patient will avoid in this particular situation of diarrhea are:

Fatty foods: Foods containing more oil, fried foods, and various dairy foods such as milk, cheese, etc. are not to be eaten by the patient at this time. Eating all these foods will increase the disease during this time.

Gurpak food with too much Jhal-Masala is prohibited in all forms.

Gaseous foods: Certain foods cause gas problems in the stomach or help increase acidity, these foods should not be eaten during this time.

For example, if stomach gas is produced in foods such as cabbage, cauliflower, pulses, broccoli, etc., then all these foods should be avoided.

Foods with artificial sweeteners: Soft drinks, candies, market-made ice creams, etc. should not be consumed with artificially sweetened foods. Also, food such as market chips, chanachur, or such packets should be completely avoided.

Some more food considerations:

Eat sparingly: Instead of eating large amounts of food at once, eat small amounts of food repeatedly. And must chew the food well.

Eat hot food: It is better not to eat cold food at this time. Because food is easily digested when eaten in a slightly warm state.

Gradually increase the amount of starchy foods: In the first stage of the disease, the amount of starchy foods should be increased slowly along with liquid and soft food.

Healthy cooking: Food must be cooked healthily. Because if the food preparation system is not protected, diseases can also be released from there.

Conclusion: The article is written only on dietary considerations and the management of patients with diarrhea. A doctor's advice should be taken immediately after becoming ill. Along with taking medicine as per the doctor's advice, all these health rules should be followed.

Note: Homeopathic treatment is very effective in diarrhea, dysentery, indigestion, and acidity. All these diseases can be cured without causing any other side effects if the advice and treatment of an experienced homeopathic doctor is taken on time.

Wishing everyone good health and well-being-
